IMMERSION

Immersion is worldwide the most successful method to learn a language at a native speaker’s level. Different from other schools where one or two subjects are taught in English, our students are exposed to the language all day. BilinGO Campus provides German-English immersion from grade 5. The comparatively small classes and the second native co-teacher who only speaks English are essential. Furthermore, some subjects are taught in English from the beginning and English lessons have been increased by two school hours per week. Language performance does not count in subject appraisal. Thus, language acquisition is stress-free and comprehensive.

Immersion instruction means diving into the new language. Immersion ensures that learning a new language is not limited to subject vocabulary and concepts but goes beyond lessons into daily school life.
This method does not require any previous knowledge or special language talents. It is only mandatory that the child’s first language has developed according to age level.
Students can choose between Italian and Spanish as further language subjects or focus on natural sciences.

Language proficiency classes: bilingual and bilingual+

The bilingual immersive method is an great opportunity for all students. For this reason, we offer two introduction possibilities.

The bilingual introductory class is primarily for pupils who have only been exposed to the new language in elementary school. Here, the acquisition of a foreign language is cautiously developed.

The bilingual+ class offers the perfect starting point for pupils who have a native language background or have visited an immersive elementary school. The speech level corresponds to the level A+. We would be happy to advise you in a personal meeting about which class is better for your child.

Both classes have a native-speaker as Co-Teacher and a Teaching Assistant in the class. Both levels are taught with modern media and modern teaching concepts.
There is no special requirement that your child needs to have in order to take part in the language proficiency classes. We would be happy to advise you.

Bilingual certifications

The bilingual education program in the Sekundarstufe I (secondary level I) is certified and is therefore a unique selling point on job applications.
The same applies to the Abitur. BilinGO Campus offers the opportunity of taking the German bilingual Abitur – an important prerequisite for modern degree programs. The minimum requirement for a bilingual Abitur is the English Leistungskurs (advanced English course) and an additional subject in English.
