At lower secondary level, all pupils are taught until the end of their obligatory full-time school attendance. Through our G9 orientation, the children have time to discover, develop and flourish. In manageable classes of 24 pupils we offer the ideal conditions for a successful school career at the lower secondary level.
At the end of grade 10, the following degrees are awarded at the BilinGO Campus:
- Secondary School Diploma – Hauptschulabschluss
- Secondary School Diploma – Mittlerer Schulabschluss
- Intermediate Secondary School Diploma with qualification for Gymnasiale Oberstufe (upper secondary school)
Pupils who have reached the qualification for the gymnasiale Oberstufe can complete both the Fachhochschulreife and the Allgemeine Hochschulreiche at the BilinGO Campus.
When the children leave primary school, a new phase of education begins. In grade 5, students first have to get used to full-time instruction and establish new class communities. We therefore design the first weeks at our school in such a way that the children feel well looked after and comfortable with us.
In the second half of grade 5 the children have to make their choice for a second foreign language, which they will find in their timetable starting in grade 6. At the BilinGO Campus, Italian and Spanish are available for selection.
From grade 7 onwards, students are taught mathematics in basic or advanced courses according to their performance and ability.
From grade 8 onwards, German is also taught in a performance-differentiated way. In addition, the children choose an additional subject from the compulsory electives offered at this grade level.
In grades 9 and 10, we prepare our students particularly thoroughly for the transition to professional life or the transition to the upper school. In these two years, individual and particularly close counselling and support is provided on all questions parents and pupils have regarding further education and vocational training.
The subjects Biology and History are anchor subjects, i.e. they are implemented throughout from grade 5 up to and including grade 13 in the timetable.
Every three months, students and parents receive an overview of their current performance and individual consultation.
In addition to focusing on the subject matter specified in the curricula, the BilinGO Campus also focuses on methodical learning. We also emphasize the promotion of social competence and the development of students’ self-competence.
Special Didactics
“The cave of the lions is everywhere”.
An example of our special didactics (economics and work theory):
The economics subject is taken very seriously at our school and we have also geared our way of imparting knowledge to it in order to guarantee optimum learning efficiency.
With core competencies such as curiosity, openness, creativity, innovative spirit, initiative, solution orientation and assertiveness, our students are not only prepared for the challenges of tomorrow. They make their contribution to innovations in business and society.
In teams, the pupils identify starting points for innovative ideas and then show in their business plan how they could implement this in a start-up. The teacher becomes a coach and learning process companion.
By integrating the learning content into an ideas competition and the business game, the participants develop a passion – another important entrepreneurial characteristic – for the often dry subject of business to an extent that is often undreamt-of. In secondary level II, the simulation games are continued with the simulation game Börse.
